Intercom - Radio Shack

Anyone ever tried this intercom system on a boat?

I want to use them for poker runs and longer trips. It costs $250 which is much cheaper than a get up like Racing Communications or Boat Communications.

I bought the same system from racing electronics here in charlotte for 235. The system works pretty good . You will have to do some mods to make it work correctly in the boat. Give me a call 704-634-9004

Pesonally, if it does not have a good noise cancelling microphone, you will only be frustrated. When you are on a boat the wind on the mike is the problem.

Throat mikes would solve that problem. Suprisingly they actually sound very realistic.

Cord is right on!
After having all kinds of intercom problems, we, (Cord and Island Hopper) installed our new intercom system from Revolution Maring Inc. in the P4-78 race boat just before Milwaukee, (Thanks Guys!)
It works great! It uses throat mikes and has no "instalation" in the helmets.
It's a sweet setup. Check for more details at
www.revolutionmarine.com
