I towed my 386 Sonic from MD to Illinois this spring with the same size Suburban. The mountains added some pucker factor to the ride but wasn't to bad. If the trailer has surge brakes its better to down shift when going down the hills. It will give you more control.

Aww, a 31.. Nooo problem. I thought you were talking 38 or more...
Hook it up, throw the seat back and don't be afraid of your cell phone..

Naa, this shouldn't be a problem for you..

Just remember that people who don't own boats are only trying to do one thing. Get ahead of you. They are as clueless as they are careless. Make sure your brakes are in good working order and just make a whole day of it. Oh and take a shotgun for the ones that cut you off.

(Just kidding)

I get strange looks towing my boat with my ride. but people will still cut me off and slam on their brakes.

I hate the drive down the turnpike....I run from NoVa to Port Clinton, OH every summer and the PA Turnpike is the pits. Make sure its worth your time and energy.....People always discount what their personal time is worth....

I'm a gov't worker, I've got nothing but time. Sydwayz had a good point in not taking the PA Turnpike at Breezewood, but going all the way on I-68 and hitting I-79 North to Pittsburg. I don't care for the PA Turnpike either.
