I only back in if the dock isnt long enough, then again I have a smaller boat so thats a good portion of the time. Just faster and easier going in head first, not because I cant back in, no probs there.

I usually pull in forward............because I like to admire my boat from the front when I am sitting waterside having a cocktail!!!!!!!!!

Backing in makes a lot more sense, but sometimes it gets tricky with a single. Stepping off the swim platform is the biggest plus. And how do you get a drunk girlfriend over the bow???

30 ft boat and 15 ft docks... no choice usually. Gotta get my old dog ashore

From what I've seen most folks would prefer the bow be pointed towards the traffic that may pass.

It's the wow factor when your blower motors are surgin and rattling the windows why else do you think everyone claps when you shut them down!!!!!!!
