A CELEBRATION
Thousands of spectators, both on- and off-shore, are expected to enjoy the race as it makes its way up the coast to share the passion and adventure of all participating teams and to cheer them on to the finish line.
Interesting????? This post/website sure raises ALOT of questions. I hope it's legitimate! I wonder who/what company is putting up 10 Million??? Apparently we have to wait for the web site to be updated on Sept 29.
Looking forward to the details!
This is very interesting. I wonder why this took this long to surface here. This would be an incredible oppourtunity at marketing Offshore racing to the international community with high visibility.
Only unknown is, who or what is the "Offshore Racing Organis[z]ation?"
Hmmm.........shouldn't APBA know about this, since it mentions APBA in the promo? The administrative contact is using an AOL email address??
Recently, I heard about a reality show that was being done, which revolved around NASCAR, and the "contestants" had to pay a fee to even apply, and then, as they were "advanced" to further rounds, they had to pay more fees. Of course, the show has never surfaced, and repeated calls to the company "sponsoring" the show continues to tell contestants that it is just currently on hold.
I emailed snopes to see if they could dig up any validity on this great race thing........
