Bought this 3 years ago. As much as I love it, had I known the GT was coming out, I would have held off to get one

Cause no one else has it or can fix it. You know that 2112.

Makes you stand out in a crowd, might be good but you need to post pictures of service department parts manager at the marina when you ask for a Ford recirculation pump cause yours went t!ts up in the middle of your vacation in Loto or something!
Just keeping you honest 2112.

My dealer advises that based on the lottery, you have a 1 in 7 chance to get one. Better than the lottery!
I'm # 3 on his list for one. I think it's a good investment.
This could be like the 959 Porsches.

I like the GT-40...but heck you could have $$ to pocket by buying a viper. The gt-40 gives it a good run but it still does not beat it.

Probably be a $5000 rebate in 6 months cause they can't move them.

I met with my Ford rep. yesterday. He said they changed the supercharger to a screw type and the rated HP has changed from 500 to 550. They pushed back the production date to 7/6/04.

We won one in the lottery last week and I think I'm gonna keep it. We think the way over sticker BS will end in the 2nd and 3rd year of production. 3500 total units will be built.

p.s. Ask Nauti about his b-day present he picked up from us yesterday. (hint- I'm a Ford dealer)

1. By winning Ford's President Award. All winners (340 of them) earn one GT allocation.
2. Allocation will be awarded based on each dealership's percent of total car sales to national Ford retail car sales. I.E. if I sell 100 Ford cars retail in a year and Ford nationally retails 100,000 (hypothetical #'s) I would earn .1% of the national GT allocation.
3. After the above allocation remaining GT allocation will be awarded based on a lottery. I have no idea how many units will be held for the lottery.

The best way to find a dealer that will have one is to find a president's award winner. I would bet that most dealerships have deposits on hand already. I know we've had lots of people try to give us one. I haven't taken any because if we're lucky enough to get one - I'M KEEPING IT!!! Sorry.
My boss owns a ford dealership that won one in the lottery. they are planning on selling it for 250,000.

Lola was the people who designed and built the original GT-40 chassis and sold them to Ford to power them and that is where Shelby came in. Ford came to Shelby and wanted him to design and build a car to take to Le-mans to beet Ferrari. Instead of designing a car from scratch,he actually told Ford about the Lola and that they should acquire a few to go race at Le-mans. The original reason for the GT-40 back in the sixties was simply to Beet Ferrari at Le-mans. Ford was pissed at Ferrari for backing out of a deal for Ford to buy Ferrari and Enzo Ferrari backed out. So the head of Ford said he wanted to go to Le-mans and blow Ferrari's doors off. Well they did just that with a 1-2-3 finish and I think a three year back to back win at Le-mans with the GT-40's and the Legend was born. The original Gt-40 is truly my all time favorite car. As for Lola, they are still building race car chassis for race teems. When you watch a 24 hour race like Le-mans or the 24 hour at Daytona, you will here the announcer pointing out the Lola's but most people do not realize that they are the true designers of the Ford Gt-40.
