DVD : Edit and Copy ???

How do you remove clips off a DVD and save to a file on your hardrive???? I am trying to remove segments off of some DVD's (I have permission form the author) to use for my website.... How is this done? Thanks, Dave

Hi Dave,
From what I understand you can not edit off a dvd you can only store material onto it. My suggestion is to contact the author and ask him for a copy of the project on a video format so that you can edit off the master.

Thanks Darren, I am trying to edit off of one of Jeff's DVD's. I spoke with him this am and he did not know how to do it either. You are probably right about the master....I think you have to be able to edit the actual tracks. Thanks again, Dave

Anytime Dave.
Yes, you do. What software are you using? I use Final Cut Pro 2. with a Power Mac G4.

It can be done. The process we used worked but took forever. I would just capture it analog and edit from there.

I would rip it from the pc, then take the VOB files and go from the frame number i wanted, to the last frame i wanted and would change them to avi or VCD in FlaskMPEG.
