Without both signatures and actually charging the account for "consideration" there is no contract.

As for the bank, if you would have had them transfer the money direct from your Home equity line and wire it there is no reason that there should be a hold.

As for your dealings, I think you are better off. Also I think the local law enforcement or DEA office would be interested in your story.

i tryed that. apparently the bank i have the heloc with is rinky dink , they dont do wire transfers but they do have great rates. currently 3.95 %
