And finally the TRUE catamaran. This is no tunnel hull.
Both bows come to a centered point on each sponson.

This is what a catamaran looks like. None of us have one we all have tunnel hulls. That is if we even have offshore boats that others call catamarans.

Here is a picture of the bottom of a 28 Profile during production. It was a very small center pod.

from all this, it turns out that there are way too many types of center pods to be able to talk about them in general terms, meaning that addressing the initial question directly is largely impossible. What kind of center pod one has seems to be as important as whether you have one or not... and marty, i'm in for a pitcher. i have way more experience with beer!

Great pictures. On the 28 Eliminator I wonder how much of that center pod is needed for the engine to sit down that low. Profile 28 I/O was built from their O/B hull and they had to build a box like to hang down to get the single engine low. Twins are easier in that the engine can go down in the sponson.

Hey Cobra,
Am I correct is saying that Profile grabbed their 28' cat mold's from what was Redline? If not, where did the mold's come from?

BTW, is Randy still planning on building a 36' cat?
