The GTO: veddy nice.
(but BADGES? we don't need no stinking BADGES!)
The Bimmer 6? ugh. I had a beautiful '86 635CSi. The new 6 is UGH-LEE.
C6? Yes, very much yes.

No disrespect intended Sydwayz, but the GTO heritage is quite formidable and that new car does not look up to the challenge, it looks more like Neon heritage than a GTO. Personally, I think they should go back to the drawing board.

I am not overly impressed with the 'new' direction of the name GTO either. I guess I should clear that up. The whole FWD Monte Carlo thing pisses me off to no end. GTO is a SERIOUS acronym to those of us muscle heads. However, I think the car is shaping up to be truly awesome. And, given how truly awesome the GTO heritage is, I think they are on aligning paths.
Aside from some radical factory Trans Am / Firehawk packages in the past, this departure is one very expansive canvas to begin with for a serious performance coupe. Did you know they made about 12 FACTORY Fieros with Buick Grand National 3.8T engines? They were never released to the public, and never marketed because they were CORVETTE KILLERS, and GM would not have that. Also, the quickest factory Trans Am ever made was the 20th Anniversary in 1989 with the same 3.8T Buick engine; (a V-6!). The performance and ratings were severely underated so as not to take away from... the Corvette.
Any name other than GTO would suit me fine, as long as not Aztek Jr.
