Default Boat Suggestions, (opinions)

O.K. all you experts, give me your thoughts. The new crib is almost done and the shop is next. should be livable about late jan or feb. i need to lose the old nova and upgrade to someting no bigger than a 31. I love the scarab excell's but have about a 35k budget. Do I want to go that old? That will put them around 88' to 90' models. I need a rough water boat for cumberland and the ohio here in louisville. What model's do you guys suggest?
Thanks for the help,
Ted

By the way, will a 30' boat fit in a 36' shop with the trailer tongue and outdrive?

For rough water, look at the Cigarette 31-foot bullet and the Sonic 31ss.

Good luck! :-)

This is not mine and I know nothing of it, but looks very nice for the price. http://www.offshoreonly.com/forums/s...threadid=63984

I have a Sonic 31SS and love it.

Thanks guys,I appreciate all your opinions. I dont think the wife would go for the cig. I would love the 28 or 31 sonic, that is actually at the top of my list. I do like the 31 scarab and they are within my budget. i would actually be happy with the 26 sonic. We love to sleep on the water. The sonic is the only boat without a windshield she would go for. There are some pretty nice deals on the 31 formula as well. I may have to research these a little more. If anyone knows of anyone looking to sell one of these models, give me a yell.
Thanks again,
Ted

Cig,Sonic,Scarab,Active Thunder - can't go wrong with any of them.

As for smaller boats the 26 Sonic is the biggest in its size range, good bang for the buck.

As for fitting into a 36' shop, I have my 31 Sonic on the trailer, drives down in a 34' garage. About 3" to spare at either end.

Probably will be real close depending on the actual boat and trailer set up. My 28 Pantera (30' feet including the swim platform) is 34-35 feet on the trailer.

My 89' Formula with Eagle trailer sold without power for only $25,000. Still a great boat for the money. The new Formula 382 with extension boxes fits in a 40' building ... just the tongue of the trailer that sticks out the door 2' ($#!T).
