Survey: What ammenities or characteristics do you or would you like to see standard

Survey: What amenities or characteristics do you or would you like to see standard on deep V's or Cat's.

I understand that performance, price and good looks are important. But in addition to that what characteristics do look for or need.

Here are a few of the characteristics I look for, please comment on these and also please add your own.

Who knows maybe your comments will influence the direction of the performance boating industry?

I look for:

Large easy access storage space for my bumpers and life jackets

Large built-in cooler for my days beverages

Enclosed head, if not, at least a hide-a-way porta poti

Easy access in and out of water. Either ladder, handles or steps.

Thanks for you comments ahead of time.

Really big honkin blower motors and dry sump #6's as standard equipment on all boats :)

As small as it sounds, cupholders for REAL cups. Like big enough for a big gulp or a bottle with a coozie around it.

My first Fountain, an older one, did not even have A cup holder. The first hour on the boat and I already had my first thing to look for on my next boat!!!

PS-Warning lights w/the engine sirens would be good too. Might have saved me about 10k worth of work. I like LOUD stereo's and wimpy sirens don't cut it.

The number one standard amenity I'd like to see come from the dealer with every new boat:

Bow Candy!!!

And I'm sure you know what I mean!

Really though, I'd have to agree on the cup holders... my boat has none.

Hydraulic steering (many manuf. only include it if you get bigger hp, I'd like to see all boats cabable of 55-60mph get it).

Bimini tops

BIG gauges. Including Oil temp and water pressure. Two overlooked gauges on most boats.

I'm sure there are others.

Steering and PoP up cleats.

Cup holders are easy, Just get a 3 inch hole saw and go hog wild. The inserts are cheap and you don't glue them in like the mfg so you can take them out and clean them. Be careful if you drill a hole for drainage of what is underneath. Rain can fill those fast and drain all over your interior or electronics. I think the most important is a GenSet.:D A full cover to the water line. Halon, drive shower, easy drain hose for crankcase, and like Mike said, big boobs
