My business partner has decided to get his citizenship in the last month. He's been here on a green-card for over 17 years, but now wants to apply. It's best to have a lawer involved to make sure it all goes correctly. They are soooooooo backed up, that they will give him a review within 450 days. He's Swedish.......there are no shortcuts, except marriage (maybe).

Did you guys hear about the couple that are going to be sent out of the country????? They applied for citizenship, and it backfired. They've been here for 24 years, have had two kids, worked hard, bought a house 2 years ago and now......immigration is going to send them back. He is from Mexico and she is from Guatemala. Go figure.......there should be some exceptions or special cases that should be heard. Kids are 12 and 15 and straight A students....and US citizens since they were born here.
