I'm GLAD on one was seriously injured ! I wonder if The
National Transportation Safety Board has a family plan discount on Drivers Education Classes. or maybe they could try there AARP cards.

Wow. Talk about a bad month. Hopefully, their dose of bad luck has run out.

That exact same thing happens at least three times a day in Florida.

Hope they are o.k.

That's a horrible story. Poor folks. Was the accelerator stuck or was she just confused? I know that sometimes older people think they are slamming on the break and its actually the gas.

I once lived in a really small town in Texas and went to get my drivers license. In front of me was a guy about 90 who was having the eye exam.

I noticed that he kept failing to read the cards correctly. They kept telling him to try again even though he obviously was blind as a bat. He repeated this about 15 more times. After standing there for 20 minutes, he still failed it every time!

The clerk finally says "No sir, it's not an A, H, V, Y, N, X nor an M."

So the old guy says, "Is it a W?"

And the licenser says "Yes! Congrats, you passed!'

I havn't heard the "official" version of the story. But, I'm pretty sure that it was operator error. Sure must have been one hell of a ride!

Regarding back luck comming in 3's, let's just say that I'm not riding with him.

that sucks.. i have a similar story..friend of mine goes out to pick up the car of his dreams. he ordered a 911, and was on his way to pick it up. he gets it, signs the papers. as he pulls out of the parking lot, somehow gets his foot stuck between the clutch and the brake. an oncoming cars hits him in the side, car is finished. after all said and done ordered another, picks it up. in the same driveway as he is waiting to pull out, someone hits him from behind and put him in the middle of traffic, car finished....after all said and done he had the next car delivered..
