an fitting...

I'm trying to find some AN fittings. I saw these in a magazine somewhere. They are the standard annodized AN fitting for braided line, but with a twist. They are a disconnect. Like what you see for a airline. They will seal both ends of the line so the fluid does't spill out. Does anybody know who was making these?

Russels hose make them. Most people use them on the tran lines on a car.I would not use them on something that needs to flow a certian amount ,Areoquip makes them in steel.

I use them on my Hustler for the engine oil drain hose kit. Quick conect on a hose thats plumed to the oil pan . and a teal pump that sucks out the oil . no drips ,a clean oil change:D :D

Darn. I was really hoping to find something for the oil lines.

Tim-
Aeroquip does make quick disco's in aluminum; used for hydraulic GPU connections on jets.
Aeroquip E-155-25 series couplings (add dash - number as required i.e. -12D etc). for female side, B3004S4 for male side. I have seen them in sizes as large as -16D. They are EXTREMELY pricey; upwards of $350 or more per fitting, cost, depending on vendor.
Get into your McMaster-Carr catalog- they have a bunch of styles in brass, steel, and stainless at a little easier-to-stomach price. (pg206 in new catalog.:)
