That's his place alright. He was chased out of the Daytona, Fl area because of the 707. Too much noise.
As for moving the 707 out of it's "car port" a tractor has to push it back and point it in the right direction before engine start. Todays airliners can put the engines in reverse and back away from the terminal. |
Originally posted by jawbreakerkid i agree. if you look at the 707, there are trees just behind the tail. how do you get it out of there? jbk The "trees" you see are the tops of the trees growing off the edge of the asphalt. |

Originally posted by catmando He's also very close to the Clearwater HQ of Scientology, the cult religion he and Tom Cruise, Kirsty Alley, Isaac Hayes and other stars belong to. John Travolta was just in DC last week to MC the opening of the new air and space museum at Dulles airport. They did a great interview on the local TV station with him. He flew his 707 to Dulles for the event. They also said that he does have a Gulfstream (or Lear? I can't remember which). He came across as a very cool guy who has a great love for aviation.:) He knew the history of every plane in the museum. He talked about when he was a kid, they lived right in the flight path for Laguardia (sp?) and he would spend hours just watching the planes fly by and knew what type of plane each one was. Nice crib, by the way.:D :D |
