Can't believe I haven't seen this thread before... 
Criminal defense attorney (State and federal). I am licensed in Louisiana, but I have also practiced in Tx, Ms, Ar, and Fl. I represent murderers, rapists, thieves, thugs, child molesters, drug dealers, and even the occasional car salesmen (but only when I am feeling particularly nasty).

Yeah, stop in when you get a chance. Call me ahead of time, though because I have an off-site private office I spend time at during the off-season. I'll also be in Lauderdale at the Fountain display.

First time I've seen this thread - great thread!
I'm the purchasing manager for an optical lab. I deal with importing minerals and haz-mat chemicals globally. As well as our domestic needs and consumable items.
We make about 1000 pair of perscription eyeglasses per day, shipping to all across the US. We also do the application of a premier Anti-reflective coating (you may have heard of it - it's licensed through DuPont and you probably have frying pans that have it). We also apply the mirror coatings to prescription lenses.
We also grind lenses that are a prescription "wrap" lense - It's an AWESOME sunglass lens named "Spazio" - it will carry your perscription out further to your peripheral - would be great on the boat!!! Let me know if you want some info.
Of course we also make all your standard eyeglasses and have several progressive lenses.
Before doing this I was a custom carpenter/ GC for 15 years. I went the opposite direction from everyone else - I left my own Biz and went to Corporate.
I doubt I could save you any $ on your glasses, but I can push them through the lab and get them out faster.
