OT - Rottweilers Part II
Thirteen weeks ago, I started the "I'm a daddy - Rottweilers" thread. Here's an update for anyone interested.
Unfortunately on Thanksgiving Day, the mother of these pups was killed. I'm thankful I still have the two 'pick' pups.
This is my male, Jango, at 13 weeks.

Look at those paws!!! How much did the sire weigh? I saw some Rott pups for sale today and almost bought one home...I had to put mine down in Feb after having him for almost 11 years

105 - the sire goes about 135. This pup's 13 weeks, and is currently right around 40 pounds. Sorry about your dog. Very few things in life are as painful as putting down a good dog.

Sorry to hear about your recent loss. I also lost one of my beloved males a couple of weeks ago. He started having seizures and I rushed him to the hospital and they kept him on IV's for almost a day and found a very large tumor. He was 8.5 years old and one of the most beautiful rotties I have ever had. The last couple of weeks have been really hard . I have had many dogs and never had problems when they passed on but the rotties always hurt. I think I just get WAY too close to them. I have one male left now and not sure what I will do in the future. I love Rotties but the 3 I have had pass on were just too hard.
Your puppy looks like he is going to be a beautiful dog. Good luck with him they are always sooooo much fun to raise!!

Clearcut - a tumor killed my previous female. There was no sign until it was too late. On the positive side, she was 13 years old. That's about it for Rotts. I will have mine checked for tumors at least once a year from now on. Very sorry for your loss.
