if you're interested i havea similar boat taht has a brand spanking new: engine, drive, exhuast, wiring, controls, k planes, upholstery, dash, control, guaegs. I pretty much redid everythign except a paint job.
its an 26' 87 scarab. I'd want more money than they are askign for that one BUT mine has a 10 hour 550hp blower motor in it. e-mail me if you're interested [email protected]

That looks like a great boat for the money. I looked at some Scarabs like it when I was in your shoes. I am 27 yr, I got lucky, in that my brother and Dad wanted to go in with me on buying. So my budget went up. Another pretty cool boat you can get for a good price is a 24 SWITZER, great starter boats.

Looks like a really good first boat. It'll handle more power when you're ready. It would be a wise thing if you contact the seller and make your offer pending a acceptable survey. Don't expect the boat to be perfect. Just look for some major stuff. A bad motor, a bad drive or wetness would be reasons to pass.

My buddy that i boat with has a 26' scarab with a red bottom...i think his is a '90 too. It rides really good, very nice boat. It has a 454 mag in it, original engin on its last legs. It goes about 62 mph, but when it was new i think it was around a 66 mph boat...Really nice boat, and somethin you dont see everywhere. Sleep deck, great lines

Anyone notice the boost gauge on the dash? I'd be suspect about the engine if it had a blower previously.....
I've played that game before and it cost me 2 seasons and $4000++
