In my previous life as a Deputy Sheriff I was on the bomb squad. We did a lot of testing with these chemical bombs in both plastic and glass bottles, not to mention all the testing we did with every explosive you could think of. Fun job! The biggest hazard with them was the caustic solution created by mixing the chemicals. There all kinds of chemicals you can mix that will release gas and build up pressure.

We would find these in mail boxes that didn't go off. To diffuse them we would use a .22 rifle with 22 short ammo and shoot the container from a safe distance allowing it to release the pressure.

When we did testing we always had a source of water, usually the fire department ready to hose someone down if they were contaminated with the solution in the bottle.

Not that I'm a big bomb fan but if you have to make one use water and dry ice. At least the mixture is more or less inert. Also, try a 2-liter bottle nice sound and allows for more time to get to a safe distance. Be careful.

One of the kids at the beginning of the video is saying "it's nothing dangerous" He probably never had the nerve to do it himself, but used one of his buddies as a beta test!

stick to fused bombs, just a little more predictable. :D

Shame that kid will have too deal with his stupidity for the rest of his life. Makes me realize how lucky I am to be alive after all the stupid **** I did when younger.
