Default xr drive capability

will the xr drive hold up if i upgrade my 575's to 650hp. or is ther an upgrade fort the xr drive.

There are several upgrades available for the drive but I have zero experience with any........I know guys that are putting 700hp through XR's but it all comes down to how much you keep them in the water.

From my experience on the xr, the 550 hp on the 575's are max, and if the boat is heavy, say 10-12k you need something better. Look at possible Maxx Machine Works and keep the drives in the water as much as possible. Personally I prefer a rebuilt set of #3's or even 5's if you can find one, transmissions really help.
