Click on the browse button down the bottom and go to the file that you saved the picture in and click on the picture. if it's the right format it will load it, if not it will say invalid format.
try it

I am able to post other pictures that i have gotten off other web pages. I think it is something with my scanner. I dont know what file to look for my picture in. If i put the picture in a diffrent file and then try and post it, it always says this: You have attempted to upload an invalid type of attachment. The valid extensions for attachments are: gif jpg jpeg.

After you scan you picture with the scanner, you must "SaveAs" a file type that is compatible......GIF or JPG

ahh...ok...I know what your problem is.
Open the picture...Go to: File, then Save As, then you need to make the format a JPEG or GIF.

when you save it to your chosen file, click on the save as and choose the jpg or jpeg format it lists.

when you click "save as", you should get a window like this-- at the top you select where you want to put the picture at, in the bar that says "save in"
