Poker Run INS. ?
 

Planning an event (Poker Run) for the 26 - 27th. of June. I was curious if anybody could give me a few names for insurance. If it matters:1) the event will be located in upstate NY 2)Our club is non-Profit. Any help on the topic would be greatly appreciated as the clock is ticking....:)

I agree, Rick Felsen is the one to talk to. But be ready to pay $$$$$. That kind of insurance is not cheap. Probably going to be around $3500.00

Would you sport a guess about the entry cap. with a $3500 premium? Are there any other ins. providers or is he the only gig in town? I had my ins. co. do a search and they came back with 11 rejections.

I had an interesting conversation with Rick this spring when I was put in charge of a demo Run/race on our Lake. I Think he is about the only game in town. I know he insures NYC Poker run and a few others and I think he told me he also insures some races. His race team name is HIGH RISK ..Go figure

He was very informative and opened my eyes to a lot of things I never thought of. Im not sure how big your run is going to be, but maybe get a few sponsors to cover the cost or have the entry fees cover the expense
