That and we are all given a canoe when born and we don't have to register these. So THERE!!!! CA has 10,000 registered boaters die each month so we will catch up. The reason reg is up is due to the inevitable "release" from the main land when the big one hits.....

Everbody I know that lives here either Registers out of state (mostly AZ.) or documents the boat with the Coast Guard to avoid Ca. Taxes. The number is probably much higher.

Good point. We do the same in DE. I guess we all win because we HAVE a boat, well I don't yet but when I do it will be the news of the day here.
