Cobra Boats
Does anyone have any info on Cobra Boats Catamarans their web site doesn't seem to work anymore and the phone listed is disconnected, Is this place still in business? Does anyone own one of these boats with a single sterndrive in it I thought they used to sell it with a single 750 reporting 100 mph for $100,000, I am interested in any info on true tunnel ( no pod ) single engine cats

I have one with single Bravo1 and 415HPmagEFI that was supercharged and about 725HP and did 100MPH. It is apart now as I am adding 380 tabs, stelling ext box with my 'On-Board-Dyno' to test and show, lowering the engine 5", add tubular swim platform, HPI mufflers, redoing the hatch to a useable sunpad, and ? for the engine-replace mine back in, change to 500EFI, or build a 540 with AFR heads and Tomcats Intercooler.

I have a twinn engine cobra cat that I didn't get in the water untill the end of sept last year so I'm still in the fine tuning stage with it So far I really like the boat It handles nice and is built well. I am thinking of going a few feet smaller with a single engine cat for my next boat though But thats because I want something that seats 4 people in the back seat and has a center pod which helps in giving some kind of cabin. Most of cobra 30' cats were built as a single engine set up and I always hear that they performe very well and fast.Last year cobra boats owner talked to me and said he was still building cobras and also doing some photo shoots with a I think a 36' hull in NYC. Thats the last I heard. If I can find the phone number that Pete gave me I will pass it on to you. It's the only time I ever talked to him but it sounded like he was gearing up to build boats.

Hey Tripps, I thougth you were going for that boat? They just shrink wraped it again! Maybe the owner decided to put it back together again? and again and again. That seems to happen every time someone offers him his price. What a waste of a nice boat. Later Keith
