De-Winterizing: Fresh Water Tank
I've never winterized, but this boat I just got had been winterized because there was pink coming out. How many times to you need to fill and empty the fresh water tank? Someone told me to put a bottle of alchohol in the tank instead of bleach or something......so far, I've only filled it 1 time and just haven't used it but to wash my hands.

It is non toxic but tastes like crap. The bleach will help but it is hard to get rid of all the taste. if it will never be winterized again I would replace it. Lets see pics of this boat I keep hearing about.

My friend's suggestion of adding alcohol to it is that it would sanitize the system, but would evaporate fairly quickly afterwards......
Mitch...thanks! Yeah, replacing that tank is not an option.

1- Fill the take with water
2- Run the water out until no more pink is coming out
3- Put bleach and lime juice together and fill tank with water
4- Turn faucet on and keep filling water tank
5- Do this until you don't smell bleach and lime juice
6- Let the tank run dry and fill it up with fresh water
