If speed is the most important factor, Start looking at Cats. However if you want a V hull I say go with the Fountain 38 Lighting w/ 575 merc or custom power.

For $230K you could pick up a new 2004 42' Executioner by Fountain....525EFI's and it runs 84-85mph.

In the price range your lookin there are a lot of choices in fountain w/5oos or sc power the above is correct Too Olds 35 lightning is a shyt load of bang for the buck !!
(and shes famous) see post.. anyway have a 35 myself and shes A 90' w/600s that runs @80 NOT BAD ! Too Olds is right there too w 500s and half your price range!
