gdfatha- Maybe not considering the boat is still winning, but the base engine design is from the 1940's. I think that qualifies as least a portion of the boat to the vintage 'idea' :D

For you guys who live in New England, there is a Vintage boat museum where these guys are restoring a number of vintage boats, and have some on display.

They often have an "Open House" where visitors can come for coffee and donuts and view these historic race boats. They are awesome. And last summer at Madison, I even got to race in one!

This 1948 Gar Wood speedster is absolutely IMMACULATE! The water was pretty bumpy and I was expecting a rough ride....but it was like riding on ice. Loads of fun!
