In the late 70s my Father raced primarily in Modified class in a 28' Pantera powered by triple 2.4 Mercs. My Father raced in Production class in 81' I believe.

JO,
By not cashing that you guys messed up the accounting in Offshore racing in the US and I hear that was the trigger point for all the stellar organizing we have these days...

So go cash it and maybe all will be well and the sport would be bigger than NASCAR and insurance for performance boat will be $125/year and.....

Just dreaming sorry.

There were 3 Great Adventures. A 28' Cigarette, 30' Sutphen, and a 32' Viper. My dad checks the board frequently, he can give you more information. I know the Cigarette was in 1976-1977. The Sutphen was raced from 1978-1980. The Viper was used in 1980. He was probably in the race you were talking about. Dad, chime in will you.

Here is a picture from 1976.That is my Fathers first 24' Pantera race boat.

Mike,

That picture was taken going out Goverment Cut here in South Beach. Those are rocks on the background of the picture.
