Special Thanks
Jim and I would like to thank fellow OSO members who have called to inquire what cat's we will be bring to the Miami Show, and thanks to the NMMA for being so understanding. We had two outstanding boats that were to go. unfortunately we will not be able to attend this year due to our sons accident.
For those of you that do not know what happened, our 19 yr. old son Brad was involved in a serious crash involving a drunk driver on June 1st. The result of the crash left him in a coma for 5 months and the end result is brain injury which has left him paralyzed on his right side. We are very fortunate to still have our son, but it will be some time and a lot of prayer and rehab. to be able to get him functional again. Because of this tradegy we cannot afford to be away from home long. We wish all of you a great time in Miami, and will see you there in 2005. Hope you have awesome weather and that the show is a success for everyone. Statistics: 1.5 million people a year suffer from TBI Young adults between 15- 24 are at the highest risk 41% of car accidents involving young adults are alcohol related 10% of closed head injury are related to sports and leisure recreation. (I have met more young kids injured riding a bike without helmets) 60 yrs. old and over the risk increases Jim & Marie Awesome Powerboats |
