someone said look at the valves at 50 maybe, 100 a rebuilt though at 20,000per. I think every big hp motor the upper needs to be done at 40 to 50 hours. Someone enlighten me here.

I was also very impressed at how docile the 1075 was. They sure run sweet for big power!

In conversation with the Merc rep, he said, (at the Miami show) that the Cigarette "American Muscle" had close to 70 trouble free hours on it. I had asked him about valve train maintenance and he said the valve covers should be pulled at 60 hrs and give the valvetrain a thorough inspection.

It sure is a beautiful thing but $300,000.00 sure is a lot of cheese to power your boat!

THAT'S WHAT THEY WERE SAYING AT THE SHOW, YOU CAN BUY THE PACKAGE FOR 110,000 TO 115,00 PROBALLY.

Yup, at a minium lifters & springs, inspect the seats and blower strips. At 100 hrs all the way thru hopefully saving the block, rods, crank, heads, blower, carbs and ignition.....AIN'T IT GREAT !
