Default Why Mercrusier should be strung up!

MAN, there desin team realy F-ed up on this one. I don't understand why they did not run an external hose they cast the manifolds and risers with fittings?

Sure would have been better off with a block of gasket and a hose.

Hard to belive that saltwater can do this in 5 years time.

Merc's newer model engines have a dry gasket now. Its been a problem for a long time.

Ya I know. Just sucks that it took them 15+ years to figure something that simple out. Guess it is like the water presure relife unit or the anti vapor lock on the EFI motors. At least I new they were leaking and got new parts to fix the problem. but what about the poor uniformed peep's that drive them tell it drops a valve?
