Default Bets on Daytona

I'll take forty eight, Jimmy Johnson... (the numeric eight took a dump on the keyboard)

I am pulling for the #8 but a victory for DEI is just as good. At caution right now JR. is leading the Busch Race on Lap 29.

I say 8 but I would like to see Jonny Benson win. He is a home town boy who came close. Waltrup could win. I just hope they take their time in the start and get used to the new tires, the 300 today had a huge pile up at the begining and some big players were out and PISSED. They thought racers were too anxious and needed to get used to the tires. They are using a softer compound to make the driver work more to make the tire last and more pit stops, all in the name of "better, closer" racing for the viewers. I feel this is a mistake as the tires could be a hazard and safety should be above ratings. Race fans don't care about close racing as long as there is not a run away leader and with the restrictor plate that aspect is already addressed. Some like it and others don't, we'll have to see if the tire trick lasts the season
