Checking out Howard custom boats AND ???
on their website, They claim their 28 bullet will run 69-70 w/ 496 h.o. but will run 77-78 w/ 500 efi... how the heck is 45 h.p. going to give you 8 mph ?? I thought most boats take 15-20 hp to gain 1 mph ?? their hull cant be so effiecient it only takes 5 hp for 1 mph...

Check some of the past Powerboat issues (last year sometime). The gave the Bullet an incredible review, I think it even won an award, but don't quote me on that. It should at least give you some speed benchmarks to go by.

I don't know if there really is that much of a speed difference between the 496HO and the 500EFI.. I would guess that this boat would run in the high 60's with a 496HO and in the low-mid 70's with an HP500EFI. Give them a call and see what they say about it....

Don't take any of the numbers too seriously until you narrow your list down and then go for a ride in the boats you are looking at. Bring your GPS and try to arrange the rides in boats with similar or equal power to what you're going to want and in similar conditions to how you will use the boat...... Have fun shopping....

I bet the bullet is faster than the sunsation w/the same power. Could the high 70's number have been w/a 525?
I have only seen great reviews on that 28 bullet hull.
