Sunglass/goggles question.
OK, I saw in one of my older Powerboating mags an advertisement for sunglasses that "Double" (add a foam backed frame) as goggles. Anyone try these or have a good recommendation for a particular brand? I don't want to look like some dork with mammoth bug goggles on my face but it would be nice to keep the eyes clear on those long hard runs. I usually wear Maui Jims but the wind still gets around them and starts the eyes watering.
I found these and think they were the ones but wanted to see if anyone else had tried them or can make a suggestion.

I have 2 pairs of the guard dogs. The lenses are clear when its cloudy or dark.Dark when its sunny.Comfortable foam to keep the wind out.Rather pricey but i like mine because they look good and are not big & bulky. They come in a fancy case.I believe mine were close to $130.00 a pair. The foam is removable and you can wear them as sunglasses.

I use the "Purebreds" made by Guard Dogs. They keep the wind out of your eyes. My boat has very little wind protection. I got the combo pack with the clear and smoke lenses, and case for $55.
I take them off when I am not running and put on lighter sun glasses.

sun/safety glasses
Take a look at the... A-Bombs... Bombers.. their safety rated, snug, very light, extra rubber for comfort and they float. We just joined this web site 2/04.

I've got a pair of Guard Dogs. There do work great. I've got smoked and clear lenses. The foam pops off in a second for wearing when I'm not running fast. From the front you can barely see the foam, so the look like normal sunglasses.
If I ever loose them I'll have to try the Boomers.

ebay has cheap plastic watersports goggles for around $6.99
I got 6 pair in adult and youth sizes. They have different styles, some weird, some cool.
For boats my "old style" Oakley wraps do a fine job.
For jetskis, I use those ebay goggles (they float).
