I think I might just buy an old dodge truck and start from there, beacuse some of the 5.9 blocks that are out of china are junk.... and those are the cheap ones. a 12Valve without all the computer crap is probably the best in a boat and a lot less headaches getting it to run

Is that the same PPE that engineers the chips/tuners for the duramax's. Any idea when they might go into production.

Check out April,'07, Pg.36 ;same motor in "IMCO" "Pet Project" hooked to a two speed trans and IMCO DRIVE. Anyone know him well enough to get the skinny on this set up? ? Like what motor LBZ LB7 LB?. Who's headers? Whats the closed cooling set up? What ECM? How LOUD with what looks like straight pipes?? Can you buy one and if so ,HOW MUCH ? ? CHEERS AW

The 5.9L Cummins weighs less than a gasoline big block and they make STUPID power for comparatively little money spent. $5000 extra will get you at least 800hp and 1600ft lbs torque. The Weismann #6 Diesel Drive is rated to handle that much power.

The Mercruiser Cummins 5.9 inboard weighes 1290 without transmission, while a Mercury Marine Horizon 496 inboard weights 1130 with Velvet Drive transmission.
