I am getting 1" as well and have decided to stay with red. I noticed no straps. Am also having sides and front done with screens for overnighting. Little cramped in a 25 but what the hey. On the water.

I think a bimini top on a performance boat looks about as natural as John Wayne riding side saddle on a horse!
