Fender Covers

Do these cloth fender covers work without scratching the paint? The Taylor made fenders I`m using now seem to leave small abrasions on the dark color paint.

I use them and don't get any scratches, I think the problem people have is they don't clean them.Or have soft custom paint. I use them because I can't stand the squeaking when rafted up.

The Taylor ones seem to made with nylon .A few of my friends have the Taylor and when we tie up I make sure they hit the rub rail only.I have had them scratch the paint before .
I will not let any condom less fender boat tie up to or I will use mine. The Polyform are alot softer,Like cotton .The material is 3 times as thick. They are more expensive but they are worth it . I also have the Polyform fenders.Blue finders with blue covers.

Get the one with the draw string ,The elastic ones stretch out and slip off. When they get dirty I just put them in the washer.

Just remember the white or lite color ones show a scum line when they touch the water
