I have been trying to deal with this all day long. After hearing the news last night it was difficult not to share and let everyone know what a great guy Ed was. Obviously lots of people know. I have never met anyone in the industry that would spend hours answering the same questions over and over again and still seem like he was enjoying it. He loved this sport and used his considerable resources to push the envelope a little wider. He was a truly nice guy and loved all of this stuff as much as any of us. I have no idea what happened out there but I would seriously doubt it was driver error-Ed had so much seat time in tubine cats he was probably nipping at Howard's heels.
My heartfelt condolences go out to both families, may they take comfort in the fact that these guys were doing what they loved. |
Our thoughts and prayers are with there families:(

A tragic loss ....We were lucky enough to have met and talked to Ed on several occasions. To say he was an admirable man is a complete understatement. Our blessings go out to all the families and friends involved.
