I saw a full canopied cat go by Saturday about 2:00 heading south. It was black and white with some red. I believe it may have been turbine powered with surface drives. They must have been to the Chesapeake Inn.
The water conditions were very flat. God Bless

That's exactly what I meant when I was referring to "inept news stations". I believe we'll have accurate information from DNR tomorrow and will post a follow up.

All too often in our lives we forget how fragile and precious life is. I, as well as many of you, have the inclination for running performance boats. Unfortunatly these joys we hold dear to our hearts can come with consiquence. We repeatedly try to explain to others the joy and excitment these machines bring us. They will never understand. We will meet on the weekends and share good times with friends we now know due to our love of the sport. When we lose someone from this small close knit community it hurts. I have read other posts about accidents that had a human price tag and though I felt bad for the families and friends I never really knew what it would feel like if it were someone I knew. I now know! I cant discribe what this is like but I know I dont like it very much. This accident comes two weeks after the loss of another friend of the sport. I know we will all move forward and never forget these people, but I must say things have changed. Maybe I am taking this ...I dont know but this loss has hit me hard and I am ..... Well I guess I just wanted to say something..... May the families of these fine people find comfort, I know the friends of these people will be there for them now and in the future. may the thoughts and prayers from all of us that boat on the chesapeake and beyond be with the families.

Oh how sad. This is not how I wanted winter to end. My God bless them, and help the families make it through this rough period of life.

To those who may have past on in this horrible accident, we must remember that they will now be in a far greater place than any of us can imagine and rest in comfort that we may all be together again in Heaven. God Bless them and there families....
