Humberto Picone built his boats to last, they were heavy and solid as a rock. He raced Damm Carrera a 36 footer in the 80`s. I had a 24 with a big block that is still running around.

Very favorable write-up on the Carrera in this month's Hot Boat Magazine- same 36 hull, just in a center console.

Humberto Picone builds one hell of a boat !
Had the pleasure of racing against him & his boats years a go, top of the line always .

The SS8M in my opinion is one of the best looking hulls ever, have only heard good things about the construction and Picon himself. There was just one on EBAY up here in MA and I think the buy it now price was 18g's and change with 2/350's. I would also be interested in any info/pics anyone has. I have these specs from an old Motor Boating and Sailing mag 01/1987...overall length: 26' 1", beam: 8', deadrise: 25 deg., freeboard: 32", and weight 3500lbs...hope that helps and good luck: Matt
