Stars and stripes Black Thunder
Looking for Betsy's old Black Thunder. Tripple engine 43', Eagle on bow with flag banners down sides. From St. Louis. First tripple engine flat deck BT made. Lost track of it and would like to know who has it. Thanks.

come on someone has to know where this boat has gotten to
|
I've got a picture of it on my desk at work! I loved that boat. Haven't seen it lately. Sad story with the boat and I would like to know who has it as well. Does Betsy still have it?

Dave,
Call Bob Jenkins at Black Thunder in Hannibal MO. They may still have it at the factory or otherwise know who the current owner is. Steve David |
the boat was sold from the factory think its at loto but not sure betsy no longer has the boat
|
Have it on good authority(radical Rod) that the boat was sold to a guy in Troy MO his name is Larry Anderson..
Rod is the guy who painted the boat from the factory for Betsy.. thats all for now... |
Tom Ricks sold the boat after He got It from Betsy, She does not own the boat any longer, But is still a fantastic person, Let's all remember how generous she was with her boat and invite her on the runs when we can, She always did the same for us from one end of this country to the other......

Now my curiosity is up, who is Betsy and what is the sad story.
Thanks Donna |
betsy and her husband jim used to do all the FL poker runs. their son died, then jim died right after their boat was built for them. After a while, she came back and did poker runs all over the country and in canada, and was in all the magazines with the boat. that's why she is just betsy. the boat is still in a current proa in the article about rod, who painted it. she sold it last year.
