Interestingly enough, there really was a record-breaking blue catfish caught in Lake Texoma, Texas in January 2004 — but this isn't it. The above photo, circulating via email since February 2004, appears real enough, but we have no information about its origin or the two hearty fishermen struggling under the weight of their monstrous catch.

Noodling is when they get scuba gear and dive to either a barrell or hole.

They reach inside the hole or barrell, grab the fish by its' gills, and pull it out.

Much faster and easier than sitting there with a pole. Also, very dangerous and highly illegal in some states.

This is one of those legendary fish that scuba divers say they see at the bottom of dams that are big enough to eat a person. They say that catfish this big are well over 100 years old.

How old is Lake Texoma?... I believe it's man made.

On closer examination...the body of water in the background is Lake X..... and the fish is the result of some of Carl Kiekhaefer's secret genetic modification projects........or not.
