That conflicts with a post about a year ago that said Wix (who also makes the Napa filters) were the best. I'll see if I can't dig up that info...

all the guys at Milan dragway with modified vettes use Redline/Royal Purple/Amsoil and a Mobil 1 filter...seems to be what Calloway and other modificatioin compnaies tell them to use to keep up their warranty....I heard that these oils "hang on" to internal parts even after long periods of storage...may eliminate the need to fog and has similiar effects to prelubing due to the extrodinary "film strength" of the oils...I heard it from guys who tore down engines and drives...ever after winter storage the stuff is there clingin on...I have heard it form at least one other guy on the board...I found out Ramchargers has Redline...don't know about the other brands..

All you will ever want or need to know about oil and filters is here:

www.bobistheoilguy.com

Go to the forums section and search. They cut a few filters apart for comparisions and such . . interesting reading and findings.
