You must know Cat fairly well to know the TLA BCP:D and to know that Cary N.C. and BCP go together. :)

Good subject, I just bought a Sea Ray Express 390 with Gas 454s.
The Same boat with Diesels was a 50,000 option new.
I just paid 60,000 for mine and this one is the SE version, this usually had diesels 3208 cats. Mine was ordered with the SE version with Gas. So I got all the diesel options but with gas 454s.
Mine is a fresh water boat since new 1986.
I am not looking for offshore speed, but comfort for liqueur and Beatches. I will live aboard also for the summer, then cruise down the Mississippi to the coast.
This is perfect for what I want. Sea Ray is a quality made vessel, no cheap here at all.
P/s, just check out the stringers for rott under galley floor. Most do not have a problem, but if pottable water tank leeks water between stringers under floor you are screwed.
My EX was never filled, hence perfect stringers.
Yeah, Yeah, diesel is the way for speed and economy, but $ will kill you, also inframe majors on diesels are 3 times more than gas to rebuild. Put some value on that.
B3 two cents.

Check out my Sea Ray less then 15 hours on the motors new everything, Diesel is the absolut olny way to go, I get 35mph out of mine. Also with the size of the tanks, he would only be filling it up 4 times a year
