Question Bon Aire Resort- St. Pete, fl... eyes needed

For my sister-in-laws 70th b'day, my wife is wanting to send her to St. Pete, Fl. My wife found an "old style" beach motel that looks awfully good for an older place. I might add that this is a "surprise" & a bunch of relatives & friends would also be going unknown to my sister in law.
Pam does not want a **** 4 star place, just something nice but laid back... nostalgic is good. Remember, she's (sister in law) is hitting 70. So slow is better!!

Can anyone in St. Pete look at and tell me if this is ok or a dump??
The Motel is: The Bon Aire Resort
4350 Gulf Boulevard,
St. Pete Beach, Fl

My sister in law has traveled a lot but has said...
"one of these days, I want to go somewhere & just sit on the beach".
I appreciate the "eyes on" advise. Thanks!!

BF, I can swing by and take a look at it for you. Let me know if you're still interested in this place.

I know the area fairly well, and I can tell you that based on the location, it will be nice and on the quieter side.

Let me know.

Baja, That would be appreciated. Quiet is probably what she wants. Clean, nostalgic, eclectic, etc. She doesn't want a fancy 5* star location.... Please let me know what you find.....
Thanks!!

I can do that, no problem. I'll grab the camera and head over there. I'll get the info by tomorrow, if that's not too late.

BF,

I just got back from checking the place out. It's at a good location, has a nice little tiki bar near the beach, a nice pool and lots of open beach to hang out on. It struck me as a really quiet place, most folks were middle-aged and just relaxing outside. The beach was quiet and I didn't see any kids. It's no luxury place, but is very nice and has everything one would need. It's close to many good resteraunts and bars if they get the urge go out on the town.

I took a bunch of pics, but I can't read the digi-cam smart card at work. I'll upload them when I get home.
