Not to reign on your parade, but I really don't trust buying anything on Ebay anymore from all the scams lately. There has been alot of problems with people on this board selling things also.

I recently purchased a few things from Too Old and his prices are great and I TRUST him. I'll stick with people I know and trust.

Semper all some one has to do is contact one of are many mbers in the richmand area and have them check them out and / handle the transation. There is many legit sellers with good deals on e-bay. Rag's

Rags,
You make a good point, although not a easy as it sounds. I personally will not buy that way. Too many crooks out there.

I was just trying to let people know if they were looking for a set of SSM's. I have been burned on Ebay myself but I don't think the majority of the people are crooks. I live a couple of hours away and if someone was really interested I would go check them out for them myself.

I bought the same drives/gimbals/etc from this guy about 3 yrs ago.
Everything was perfect & when I had the drives taken apart to check them out, the gears still had assembily lube on them. They were in perfect condition!
Now, what I find interesting, is that I bought the gimbals & transom assembilies off the navy seal boat which looks exactly like the one pictured. It was one of two boats he had & he said the other boat was already stripped.
Mabe he picked up another boat at auction? Mabe.
He did have something like 12 or 14 3A drives lined up. Quite a few had issues though.
He finally admitted after the cash changed hands that he bought the two boats and all the drives for something like 3 or 4 thousand dollars at a military auction.

I don't think I'd go more than 750hp.
