Not my pontoon boat. It's a friend's. He bought it for a grand. 24' something or another on a trailer.

Was used for 3 seasons, then the guy came in to trade it in at the boat store next to the car lot. He wanted too much for them to trade, so they set it out on consignment. TEN YEARS LATER, he keels over and his wife asks for the boat store to make an offer on it. The vinyl is SHOT but the toons and floor are excellent. Boat store didn't want it, told friend to shot a number. $1000 bought it. No motor.

I told him he could run my avgas 2.4 Merc on it...

TONYM, if your furniture is worth re-using, send pix and let me know what you need for it.

I'm also forwarding the number sent by Robert, thanks..

Nevermind...
Deal is off on the 'toon.

He shoulda towed it home as soon as they accepted the offer. The woman called back and said that wasn't enough after all. She must've contacted her husband through Mistress Cleo...

Did she agree on the price originally? If so, I think you have a deal.

The boat store called her with the offer and she agreed on it verbally. This was last Wednesday. Today, Saturday, she called back and said that wasn't enough and that she wasn't selling it for that. No explanations.

The boat store told her that they were going to start charging her storage for it (they are friends with Greg, and thought it was crappy of her and were trying to help). She started screaming at them that they were insensitive crooks. Obviously this woman will be difficult to reason with.

The boat has been there TEN years. Sitting in the back lot.

Default Yo MC

I don't know where you are from but lower Delaware is where to get toons, they have a ton down there. I bought mine, 1988 with a 70 Yammi on it, no trailer for $750. and the floor is solid and it has a 13 ft hard top. If your buddy is interested I can give you the number of the place, he has tons of them, and also has alot of 27 glass pontoon type flat decks.

Goos Luck!

Thanx Tony, I'll check with him.

I do know he was having trouble running it by the wife unit. He said they could fix up a toon, buy a pair of big motor jetskis, and have a blast with the setup. Problem was, it involved selling the 20' Crownline, and she was not impressed with that idea at all..

Default Just lie

My wife thinks that my buddy bought mine by himself, a little white lie never hurts anyone. Once it is done and she goes out on it and enjoys it, then I will tell her. Mine got here today, the delivery guy ripped me off, for the fee( $75 dollars higher than quoted) and stole the stainless clips to tie it to the dock. Can't trust anyone anymore!
