They never end. They continue to deliver an additional 8 to 12 mph, even at rest.

Yes you should!!!

Those steps in the first photo are too small and too far apart. That will cause spinouts and drink spills.

Yes. A definite handicap.

That's why all boats that don't have steps aren't allowed to race with the step hull crowd. They are relegated to the "special olympics"...
