Lucaya, Grand Bahama
Anyone ever vacation here, and how did you like it?
Thanks, Ed |
Didn't we race there a year or so ago?
If this is the same place, it's absolutely BEAUTIFUL !!!! Not real "touristy", but peaceful, beautiful and great beaches. |
Was there this past January for New Years. It is a very nice place.

Just back from there last week.
There was a bill fish tournament and spring break going at the same time, was crazy at night. It is supposed to be very quiet 99% of the time though. We found a beach called Tranquility Shores, absolutely the best beach I've seen, it looked just like a Corona ad. Very deserted most of the time , just cruise ship passengers for a few hours on Sat. ,then empty. Has a great beach front bar and restaurant, try the cracked conch (your wife will thank you):D |
I forgot one thing. If you do go make sure one evening when at the bar the group all tries Painkiller #4's. If you have any muscle aches I guarantee they will all be gone after one of those.
|
DPT...do you have the recipe for that? I could use a little down time from the pain!!!:D
|
I was there for new years 2003, nice place. If you go by boat they've raised the fees though. The marina there has a good pool bar that serves food.
|
I wish I did!!!!! We would have been drinking them the night at D&B's in Philly if I had it. My guess is that it is made up of stuff that is only available in the Bahamas.
|
I was at Pussers this weekend in Lucaya, Grand Bahama, home of the Painkiller.
4 parts pinapple juice 1 part orange juice 1 part cream of coconut 4 ounces of Pussers Rum serve over ice, shake and sprinkler nutmeg on top. Enjoy!!! |
Now I am thirsty!!!!!!!:p :p :p
