I will post this in the Poker Runs and gatherings section as well, but I need some opinions and suggestions.
Last year was a very informal gathering of people at LOTO for a lunch run. We left Backwater Jacks cove Thursday morning around 10:30 to arrive at Big Dick's Halfway Inn by noon.
We are thinking about Friday, July 2nd for this year so that possibly more people can have the opportunity to come on the run.
We realize the lake traffic will be much greater on Friday, so that is the trade off.
We are going to try for a band and other entertainment/free stuff this year.
It should be a great time, as it was last year!
If you can make it this year, post here so I can get an idea of how many people might be there. I will post another thread for a better head count when it gets closer.
having it friday afternoon would probably work better for the majority of us as alot of people dont get to the lake till then.
also , starting further up the lake would avoid the "washing machine" water.
i plan on making it this year regardless of when and where its started. alot of nice hardware last year!!

I agree about the water, but if we get a halfway early start (11:00 seems to be early at LOTO ) we should be OK.
I'm leaning towards Friday as well, the more the merrier!!
you can count me and the wife in although you need to change the name as the cigarettes were of the minority from what i remember. Anyone going down for the week before are after the 4th, im planning my vacation time.
